After the war between Scar and Anouk, Night and Anouk took up their duties as rulers of each kingdom.

When the two new Queens took up rule, each sector had changed remarkably. Different cultures, beliefs, and celebrations had been formed, although the two rulers had maintained constant peace with one another - remembering that they were indeed old friends. And the two societies, however contrasting they were, grew as a working unit and flourished. Night worked her hardest to relieve her kingdom from the harsh life Scar had forced upon them, creating a less harsh life for her subjects.

But as time passed, Anouk had taken a King - a handsome, puphood lover named Shrike. In the beginning, his intentions seemed pure and honest but when days grew into months, Night became suspicious of his real intent. The court was convinced, by word of mouth, that Shrike was plotting a wicked overtaking and had planned to execute Anouk in the process.

Night voiced her deepest concerns to her friend, but the eldest would hear none of the false slander about her love. Anouk even went to the extent of calling it preposterous, and ordered her friend escorted out of her lands.

Then, in the dead of night when not a star could be found in the sky, a shadow fled into the castle where Anouk and Shrike slept. They were determined to solve this issue they faced, once and for all. Though when the night was finally over and the deed had been done, Shrike was no longer - his lifeless body slain. Anouk was left to grieve a sorrowful loss, and a most apprehensive Night was guilty of murdering a King. But now, the proclamation had been made by the word of Anouk - they were to be divided, indefinitely.
